In a week of nonsense, prior to an epoch of it, watch this talk that Meredith Whittaker gave last week, about what could happen if we put love and intimacy at the centre of our understanding of privacy. What she has to say will slough the nonsense out of your brain and get it back to work.

I remember when I used to attend an annual conference that allowed talks like this. I even tried to give them. Alas, “love, privacy, and the politics of intellectual shame” is a fairly good summary of how my speaking career started and how my speaking career ended.

Still. This talk could almost, almost get me back at it again. But I fight my battles elsewhere now.
