Because I always look impressive in blockquotes

Last week I was interviewed by Samuel Stolton at EURACTIV for his weekly Digital Brexit bulletin. We discussed where UK tech policy is currently standing as we prepare to leave the UK (whenever that is).

Sometimes when you’re gabbing for half an hour about a topic that you live and breathe, you aren’t always sure that you get your point across. The thing I wanted the EURACTIV readership to understand is that UK policymakers’ vision of post-European digital regulation is not based around markets and the economy; it is based around behaviour and morality. If businesses falter and the sector shrinks – assuming any tech businesses choose to stay here after Brexit – the policymakers behind these plans are fine with that. May you live in interesting times.
